About Ohayo Japow

Ohayo Japow is written by a Japanese snowboarder who lives just north of Tokyo and rides the mountains of Niigata and Gunma every winter. These are the trips I take myself, written up for riders visiting from overseas.

How the guides are made

• Every guide is based on days I actually spent at the resort, with my own photos.
• Prices, season dates and access are checked against official sources, and each guide shows when it was last checked.
• I write in Japanese and translate into English with the help of AI translation, then review every page before it goes live. If something reads strangely, please tell me.
• Some links may be affiliate links. They never change what I recommend.
